Govern with a record you can prove.
Every deliberation, decision and dissent becomes a tamper-evident record, signed with a key made for your Village and time-stamped by an outside authority where it can be reached, on sovereign infrastructure in New Zealand or the EU — for company boards, charities, incorporated societies, parish councils, and iwi trustee boards alike.
The common thread: a board that must keep a provable record of its decisions.
Not another paperwork tool. The record keeps itself, and proves itself.
Resolutions are drafted, voted and recorded: who moved it, who seconded, how the vote fell, and when. Decisions and polls are signed with a key made for your Village, so a later change shows, and time-stamped by an outside authority where it can be reached; minutes and motions are kept with your Village's records. Export everything with a signed portability certificate (GDPR Article 20), in open formats, and yours to keep on infrastructure you control.
Carry a proposal from discussion to a recorded outcome with the reasoning intact — and dissent preserved, not lost. The decision and the deliberation behind it stay linked, so the record shows not just what was decided but why.
Assemble board packs and circulate papers through a secure, members-only document portal — version history, controlled access, and no sensitive papers sitting in personal inboxes or an overseas cloud drive.
Every decision joins a verifiable audit trail backed by ProofChain. Your board can prove what was decided, by whom, and when — to auditors, regulators, members, or a future board — without trusting a vendor's word for it.
Chair, managing director, treasurer/CFO, company secretary, non-executive directors, trustees — each role carries the access and the responsibilities it should, with delegated authority recorded rather than assumed.
The free Governance Course is your board's on-ramp — a shared, board-level language for sovereign deliberation risk before you adopt the tools. Run the group exercises inside a live Village course environment.
Anyone can build an app now — the features are becoming free. What software can't spin up is the foundation underneath: who is accountable for your data, where it lives, what the AI is allowed to do with it, and whether your records still mean something in ten years. That is what a Village is built on.
Your Village runs inside standing guardians that bound what the system and its AI can do: hold a boundary, check a claim against the record, and require real deliberation before a decision lands. Safety is wired into how it works, not a policy page you click past.
The AI runs on our own sovereign inference stack — Qwen today, and our own Situated Language Model. Your members' words and documents are never sent to an overseas cloud model, and never used to train someone else's product.
Every decision, document and exchange becomes a sovereign record: tamper-evident, carrying its own provenance, exportable whenever you ask, and yours to erase for good — on infrastructure you control.
Villages connect to one another directly — to share, refer, collaborate — with no platform owner in the middle. You choose who to peer with and exactly what crosses the line. Reach, without surrender.
Anyone can promise a record can never be changed. We do something more useful, and easier to check. Every decision is sealed, so if it's ever altered the change shows — and you can check that yourself, offline, against the record’s own signature and its time stamp from an outside authority (Certum, a non-qualified service; a record with no stamp says so, and the request is retried nightly), without an MDSL account. Because a real organisation sometimes has to correct or replace a record, proper changes are written down, signed and added to the trail: the original still stands, and only a quiet, unauthorised change becomes impossible to hide. A record you can correct and still prove beats a promise you can't check.
Features get copied. A governed, sovereign, provable, federated foundation does not — because it isn't something you generate. It is something you are built on.
The course explains it; these Villages make it real.
