Village Advisors

Help your community move onto ground it owns

Village advisors find communities in their region, set them up, and walk alongside them — backed by sovereign infrastructure and supported directly from New Zealand. It is values-aligned work, and the network is curated, not open. This page is the first step.

What a Village advisor does

You do

  • Find communities who would benefit — parishes, clubs, whānau, small businesses, nonprofits, alumni and heritage groups.
  • Set them up: guide them through choosing a Village type and getting their first members onboarded.
  • Stay alongside as a trusted local contact — the day-to-day running is handled by the community's own moderators.

You do not

  • Build or host anything — sovereign infrastructure in NZ and the EU is run by My Digital Sovereignty.
  • Touch community data or moderate their content — that stays with the community.
  • Carry technical risk — the platform, AI, security and updates are ours.

Who this is for

This suits people already trusted in their community — treasurers, organisers, professional advisors, kaumātua, faith and sector leaders — who care about people keeping ownership of their own records and conversations. You do not need to be technical. You do need to be values-aligned: sovereignty over surveillance, communities over platforms, and honest dealing.

Advisors are accredited and supported by sector and region. The network is deliberately curated — we would rather grow slowly with the right people than open the door to everyone. If that sounds like the wrong fit for you, it probably is, and that is fine.

How it works

Tell us about yourself below. If there is a fit, we will be in touch personally for a conversation and share the full advisor pack — including how advisors are supported and remunerated. There is no cost to express interest, and no commitment until both sides are sure.
